I could not have done my first 70.3 without the help of Luke!  I cannot thank him enough for the support, encouragement, and the personal time he gave to me during my training.  During my training I had a family member passed away and I could not have asked for a more supportive and understanding coach at a very challenging time in my life. He supported me the whole way continuing to support me not only as a client but, just as a friend. When I was ready to get back to training, he would check in often with me making sure that I was not only physically hanging in there but, mentally still good. He knew when to push me and make workouts more intense and knew when to back off if something wasn't meshing. He made me physically and mentally stronger, pushing myself to do things I had never done before. I know due to Luke I was able to complete my first 70.3!

I was struggling in learning how to swim 10 months ago. I was 57 years old, panicking in the water, could not breath, and forget about trying to float on my back. Needless to say I was developing every phobia you could get regarding swimming and was completely frustrated.

One morning I happened to be at an LA Fitness pool, struggling as usual when I noticed a swimmer in the lane next to me.  This lady was the best swimmer I have seen so far. She easily did 40+ laps like it was nothing and moved through the water easily, taking only a few strokes each lap.  When she finished I asked her how long she had been swimming. I was expecting to hear "all my life", "20 years", etc.  She told me that she started to learn how to swim 2 years ago and that she was afraid to put her head under the water when she started. I was shocked!  She said her instructor specialized in teaching adults how to swim and that he was highly recommended by other well-known swimming instructors.  Her instructor was "Luke Weniger".

Needless to say I contacted Mr. Weniger and set up a session with him in late July 2015.  Since that time my swimming efforts have been short of remarkable.

Now in April 2016 my practice sessions now include 60+ laps, I can breath easily on either side, I can float on my back, swim on my back and do freestyle laps easily.  Now people at the pool ask me how long have I been swimming ("all my life", "20 years", etc.) and they are completely shocked and in disbelief when I say 9+ months.  I never thought I would float on my back in 3 lifetimes, but now my practice routine includes at least 20 laps on my back.

Thanks to Luke Weniger I am becoming a very good swimmer.  Using a football analogy I call him the Bill Belichick, Bill Walsh, and Vince Lombardi of swimming. If he could teach me how to swim, trust me it's a breeze for any one else.

Luke is amazing!!!!  I found him by watching how he was working with another client in the pool.  Everyone swims differently and he has a talent for seeing the problem areas and quickly helping you adjust accordingly.  He impressed me with his ability to break down the process step-by-step so I could understand what I was doing and where I needed to improve.

In my opinion, Luke is heads above other coaches who stand on deck and watch, waiting until you get to the end of the lane to offer feedback.  He gets in the water with you and immediately corrects what you are doing.  In just two lessons, he increased my speed by 35%.  A third lesson was about fine tuning what I was doing to prepare for a big race.  With his help, I was out of the water three minutes faster than I planned for.  Yay!

I’ll keep working with Luke to continue improving my swimming skills and highly recommend him to everyone I know.  Can’t say enough good things about him!

I've been a swimmer for almost 40 years, but in triathlon, it has always been my least favorite part of the sport. My goal in taking lessons was to improve my swim times and be more confident in the open water, especially during races. I honestly was not expecting to learn that much more about swimming; however, I was pleasantly surprised at how much my stroke could be improved upon and changed. In fact, Luke totally reworked my swimming technique starting with my posture and body line in the water to how my arms enter the water to how I could use my hips to create a more efficient pull.

Luke is an encouraging, patient, and positive coach. Even though I had to relearn how to swim properly, he used several examples, training aids, and drills to help me understand the easy-speed swimming style. In fact, the best part of the instruction is that he is not a passive coach standing on the pool deck. He gets in the water with you so you can see how it's done.

I've been very pleased with my results. In the pool, I noticed that I'm consistently swimming faster with less effort. My swim times during races have been faster since I took lessons. More importantly, I'm not wiped out after the swim so that I have energy to do well on the bike and run

Far and away, the money I spent on lessons with Easy Speed Swimming has been some of the most well-spent dollars in my athletic endeavors.

I have been a swimmer for most of my life (age 44) and have not had a lesson since I swam on swim team in high school. Can you imagine what my stroke could look like? Well, not bad but very inefficient. I saw Luke coaching a client and really liked his style and how positive he was with the guy. I got his card and called him that day. Well, after one Private Technique Session I felt totally different in the water. I felt like it was EASY to swim and I felt much calmer. I’m a fast swimmer already and swim quite a distance so getting more efficient has been huge for me. I always had some low back pain after swimming but I no longer do. Luke is totally present with you in the session and he has so many different tools to teach you so if one thing doesn’t work he can use another technique to get the results you are looking for.
